🎬 Fixed: Reel Outlier found nothing at all
- Scanning any profile failed instantly with a "Scan failed" message quoting a raw Instagram error. It had been failing for everyone since September 4th, not just on certain accounts.
- Instagram stopped answering the two addresses the tool used to look up a profile and list its reels. It now uses the ones Instagram's own Reels tab uses.
- Verified before release against the profile from the original report: 426 reels read, 8 outliers found, thumbnails and downloads intact.
🎤 Fixed: voice notes never sent
- A voice note would fail and tell you Instagram blocks attachments on message requests. That was not what happened. The app could not look up the recipient, and voice notes are sent through that same lookup.
- Opening a conversation had the same fault and fell back to an out of date ID for the person.
- Verified before release by sending a real voice note between two test accounts and confirming it arrived.
💬 Clearer messages when something does go wrong
- A handle that does not exist now says so, instead of saying Instagram is rate limiting and to try again later, which you could do forever.
- Pasting "@name" instead of a full profile link now works.
- Private accounts are named as private rather than reported as an empty result.
🔎 Behind the scenes
- When something does fail, the app now records the full reason from Instagram instead of the first couple of hundred characters, so support can see what actually happened on the first try.
- Reel Outlier can no longer start a second scan on top of a running one, and its saved results no longer grow without limit.
