๐ฌ Campaigns no longer skip people you never chose to skip
- Campaigns have a setting for whether to message someone you already have a conversation with. For Broadcast and All, it is supposed to default to yes.
- That default only applied if you actively clicked the campaign type. Open the composer with it already selected and it silently saved as "skip", so everyone you had ever messaged was passed over while the campaign still reported that it was sending.
- The default now applies whether or not you touch it.
๐ฏ The broadcast list you see is the one that gets messaged
- The list dropdown could sit empty while a list was already selected behind it, because the app picks your first list on load. Creating a campaign without opening that dropdown sent to that first list.
- It now always shows the list that will actually be used, and says "Choose a broadcast list" when nothing is picked.
๐ Reply tracking now sees every message you sent
- Replies were only counted for contacts where Instagram returned a conversation id at send time. When it did not, the message was delivered and then invisible to reply tracking.
- On one live campaign that was 356 of 1195 delivered messages, so the reply rate was measured against the wrong total.
- The conversation is now recovered after the send, and recovery can never cause a send to fail.
๐งพ Fewer contacts wrongly retired forever
- When Instagram declined to open a conversation, every cause collapsed into one generic message and the app treated it as permanent, skipping that contact for 30 days.
- Temporary refusals now say so and stay eligible for your next campaign.
๐ See your message before it goes out
- Click "Preview with real contacts" in the composer to see your message with real details filled in, so you can confirm first names resolve before a single send. It stays out of your way until you ask for it.
- If a list has contacts with no name saved, only a handle, the preview now tells you how many, because {firstname} would send their handle to those people.
- Finished campaigns can be reactivated instead of rebuilt from scratch, and CSV imports now resolve handles a second way and report any they could not add.
