Social Prospector IG v0.0.44

The daily auto-run no longer happens at exactly the same time

If you have Follow-Up Nudge set to run itself once a day, it used to start at precisely the time you picked, to the second, every single day. Nothing else on your account behaves that way. A real person does not open Instagram at 10:50:00 every morning.

Instagram watches for that kind of regularity when it decides whether an account looks automated, and a run that starts on a metronome is an easier pattern to spot than the number of messages you send.

The run now drifts up to 45 minutes either side of the time you set. Choose 10:50 and it will start somewhere between roughly 10:05 and 11:35, at a different point each day. You do not need to change anything, and nothing about your settings, your cap or your pacing changes. The spacing between individual messages was already varied; this brings the start of the run in line with it.

The progress circle now finishes when the run finishes

A run stops as soon as it hits your daily cap, which usually happens partway down the list. The circle was measuring how far through the list it had walked, so a completed run showed "10 sent of 10 finished" beside a two thirds full circle. The run was correct, the circle was answering a different question.

It now tracks whichever limit ends the run, the list or the cap, so a finished run reads as finished. It also reflects reality better while a run is going: at nine sends of a ten cap it now shows ninety percent rather than fifty.

It will not show a full circle for a run that was cut short. Stop a run early, or have it stop itself, and the circle stays where it actually got to.

The app updates itself, no action needed.
