Follow-Up Nudge: reach the people who never replied

Most of the people you message never answer the first time. Follow-Up Nudge finds them for you. It scans a campaign, works out who got your opener and stayed quiet, and sends them one short follow-up. Anyone who replies is left alone, because from that point the DM Bot takes over the conversation.

A few things worth knowing:

  • You can allow a second follow-up if one is not enough. It is off by default.
  • You set the daily limit, and that limit is a daily budget. If you send four today, the app will only send the remaining six, no matter how many times you run it.
  • There is a Stop button, and a safety cut-off that halts the run if Instagram starts rejecting sends.
  • You can schedule it to run itself once a day at a time you choose, with a real AM and PM picker.
  • Scan results are saved, so a long scan survives you leaving the page.

Follow-Up Nudge is part of the Platinum plan.

Scans are much faster and much lighter on Instagram

The scan used to ask Instagram about every single person in the campaign, every time it ran, even when the answer was already sitting on your own machine. Someone who already replied, or who you already followed up with, or who you messaged an hour ago, cannot have changed. The app now answers those from its own records and only asks Instagram about the people it genuinely cannot know about.

On a large campaign that removes the large majority of the questions the scan used to ask. It finishes far quicker, and it puts a lot less traffic on your account.

A skipped message now tells you why it was skipped

If the app skipped someone, the Skipped list showed their name and nothing else. There was no way to tell whether they were on your Do Not Message list, or whether you already had a conversation going with them and the campaign was set to leave those alone.

Every skipped person now carries the reason next to their name.

The profile button on the Skipped list works

Clicking the eye icon next to a skipped person did nothing at all. No error, no page, nothing. It now opens their Instagram profile.

Attachments and sending

  • The app now waits for an attachment to be genuinely ready before it sends, instead of assuming.
  • If part of a message fails, it tells you which part, rather than reporting a general failure.
  • If someone's profile has no Message button, the app opens the conversation another way instead of giving up.
  • The image attachment log no longer claims success when the paste actually failed.

Broadcast lists

Clearing the "Total profiles" box left it blank and quietly loaded 1000 people. It now shows and respects the number you set.

The app updates itself, no action needed.
