Social Prospector FB v2.1.27

💬 Fixed: comments were never being counted, on any account

  • The inactive scan collected reactions but silently recorded zero comments on every post. Facebook moved where comment data lives and the app kept listening in the old place, so it always came back empty and always looked successful.
  • Anyone who comments on your posts but does not react was therefore scored as having no engagement, and landed on your inactive list. On one account we measured 862 comments across 133 posts that the app had been recording as zero, and 118 friends who were being suggested for removal while actively commenting.
  • Comments are now read correctly, and a scan that cannot read them says so instead of recording a zero.

📊 Fixed: reaction capture was missing roughly a third of people

  • Older scans reached about 71% of the people who reacted to a post. On a full 149 post run we now measure 99%, 3,241 of 3,265.
  • A separate fault could mark a post "done, zero reactors" without ever reading it. One scan recorded 570 of 571 posts that way, and every person it missed scored zero engagement.
  • Both are fixed, so your engaged and inactive lists are built from what is really there.

⚡ Changed: comment scans are dramatically faster

  • Each post used to sit through a 30 second wait for data that no longer arrives that way. Across a 149 post scan that was over half an hour of pure waiting.
  • The same scan now completes in about 13 minutes.

🛡️ Fixed: an empty scan can no longer be filed as a finished audit

  • The scan marks a friend active only if they engaged with a post it examined. With zero posts examined, every friend is reported inactive by construction rather than by measurement.
  • A scan that examined nothing is no longer recorded as a completed audit, so a failed run cannot quietly turn into an inactive list of everyone.
  • The post collector also stored hundreds of empty placeholder entries alongside real posts, which inflated the counts you saw. Only real posts are stored now.
