🛑 Fixed: Stop still reported the run as finished
- Last release fixed this, and it was only half fixed. Post Lover watches for your Stop press in two separate places, and only one of them was corrected.
- The one left behind checks every second, while the corrected one checks every ten to twenty seconds. The faster one almost always got there first, so pressing Stop still showed "Finished" and "Complete!" even on a run that had reacted to nothing.
- Both now report the same thing: "Stopped. You stopped the run."
🔒 Fixed: Post Lover could lock the app with nothing you could do
- If the browser failed to start, or Facebook did not load, the screen stayed locked behind "Post Lover is running. This screen stays locked until it finishes." It never finished, and there was no Stop.
- The run was waiting on something that had already failed and could never report back, so the lock had nothing left to release it.
- A failed start now tells you what happened and gives the screen back. Pressing Stop before a run gets going also says so, instead of saying nothing at all.
🆘 Fixed: the Help Center gave out the wrong support address
- The failure screen added last release pointed at an address that is not monitored. Anyone who wrote to it got no reply.
- It now shows support@prospectorproducts.com, which is the address that reaches us.
📡 Fixed: the Help Center still showed a blank panel when offline
- The new loading and error screens did not appear if your connection was down. You got the same empty panel as before.
- The app treated "the page finished loading" as "the page worked", and a browser reports its own offline error page as finished loading.
- It now checks separately whether the help centre can be reached, so being offline takes you to the screen with "Try again", "Open in my browser" and "Email support".
🔎 Behind the scenes
- Four of the automated checks that are supposed to catch these problems before release were not able to fail. Each was tested by deliberately breaking the thing it guards, and each now catches it.
- That is how the half fixed Stop button above got through last release, so the checks were repaired in the same update.
